Thanksgiving Supper Outreach
Our Goal
The Thanksgiving Supper Outreach will be on November 22, the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. This annual ministry is always a highlight of our yearly schedule. Our sole desire for this "outreach" is to do just that: "reach out" with loving hands to our community by sharing the gospel of Christ with them and feeding them, providing nourishment for their souls and bodies.
Volunteer Information
We greatly appreciate all those who are willing and able to help with this important ministry of our church. If volunteering, please be on hand in the gymnasium at 4:00 P.M. to receive your assignment at the volunteer booth. After receiving your assignment, you may go ahead and eat. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.
We need all kinds of volunteer help, but we especially need help with clean-up at the end of the supper. We must store everything away and have the gym ready for the school to use the next day; therefore, it has to be cleaned up completely that night. The supper will end about 8:00 P.M.
The clean-up process involves the following duties:
- Breaking down/storing the tables and chairs
- Packing unused food for delivery to the needy
- Cleaning out pans and chafing dishes
- Disposing of trash/waste products
- Sweeping and mopping the floors
- Storing away racks and cooking utensils
Please pray that God would shower His blessings on this very important ministry. We are praying for His wisdom as we plan and prepare.
